Winterville Returns to Victoria Park

Winterville Returns to Victoria Park | Christmas In London

Last year’s much loved East London festive destination returns to Victoria Park this Winter.

East London’s one stop wonderland of wintery festivities will return between the 26th November and the 23rd December, with an avalanche of exciting activities and attractions to delight and excite this season. Combining Christmassy classics with fresh, bang-up-to-date twists, Winterville looks to once again be one of the hottest tickets in town for both Londoners and visitors.

Over ten acres of Victoria park has been set aside for Winterville, a recreation of a fictional festive town, focusing around the iconic Winterville clock tower. The organisers have pulled out all the stops to fill the park was as much as possible. They include all the familiar stalls such as an Ice Rink, Fair Ground, Markets, and a variety of food and drink stalls that’ll focus on the best that London has to offer – think real ales, mulled wine, cider, hot chocolate, and even Winterville’s very own pub the Bar Humbug!

Also on offer at Winterville are some more left field activities that really aim to impress. Winterville has teamed up with Backyard Cinema to create an enchanted forest named “The Winter Night Garden” accessed via a secret tunnel of trees, it’ll be showing classic films such as It’s a Wonderful Life, Love Actually, and The Muppet Christmas Carol. The circus will also be rolling into Winterville, with acts from a variety of world circuses including the Moscow State, and African Whirlwind acrobats. Finally the Spiegeltent returns, a beautiful mirrored and wood panelled space that’ll host all sorts of entertainment from pantomime to cabaret.

Winterville is a Christmas destination that has had real thought put in to it, an essential date in your Christmas calendar!

Winterville runs from the 26th November to the 23rd December, entry to the town is free, and tickets for events can be purchased now from the Winterville website.
