This month the already famed Union Street Cafe will be opening in Southwark under the watchful leadership of everyone’s favourite celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, and the infamously rude ex Manchester United midfielder David Beckham. Wait…
The dynamic duo’s eatery enterprise will open on the 16th, on the corner of Union Street and Great Suffolk Street in Southwark in a converted urban warehouse, now bedecked with decidedly urbane soft furnishings and lighting.
The bar and cafe will be serving up a very impressive daily changing menu specialising in delicious Mediterranean-inspired fare cooked from exquisite fresh produce. We’re very much looking forward to the Veal Carpaccio with lemon, anchovy, olive and celery, and the torn pasta with artichoke, pancetta, mint and ricotta, which sounds absolutely divine, and a snip at an estimated £25-30 a head.
The food will be prepared in a theatre-style open kitchen, (although audience participation is presumably frowned upon by the cafe’s culinary curator), encouraging a buzzy atmosphere which the whole family can enjoy.
We can’t wait!
