With the mighty London Grammar headlining and Horse Meat Disco keeping the party going well into the early hours, Wilderness festival is one of our favourite UK music festivals. After all that partying refresh yourself at the lakeside spa or try some early morning yoga.

Grab lunch at the Long-Table Banquets, cooked by Simon Rogan, Angela Hartnett or Russell Norman (book tickets in advance), or pop into the Moro Souk tent and let Sam and Sam Clark fill you up with their incredible Moorish menu.

UK music festivals 2014The Secret Garden Party

Gardeners get dressed up and ready for a whole lot of fun as Little Dragon, Public Enemy and Hercules and Love Affair take to the stage. Set around a stunning lake in the Cambridgeshire countryside, this awesome festival is one the best UK music festivals.

As the sun sets on the Saturday night and the candle-lit lanterns float into the air, the festival really comes alive. Party all night, then get refreshed at the Secret Sanctuary, which opens at 7am for meditation, hot showers and revitalising green juices, before doing it all again!

Get your disco beach ware ready for a ‘Desert Island Disco’ themed Bestival. Back for its 11th year, the mighty festival on the Isle of Wight has headliners OutKast, Foals and Paloma Faith hitting the stages and Boyz Noise, SBTRKT and Skream making sure you get your desert island disco on all night long.

Get down and get dirty at Lovebox in East London. Leading ladies M.I.A. and Katy B will be taking to the stage, alongside Chase and Status, A$AP and Sub Focus.

Although it lacks the beauty and escapism of the other festivals, Lovebox is by far the best London festival and is perfect for two days of mini-madness.

UK music festivals 2014Festival Number 6

Back for its third year, Festival Number 6 is pulling out all the stops. Beck is headlining and you can get your buffalo stance on with Neneh Cherry. The magical festival is spread throughout the rolling Welsh hills, local beach and the incredible town of Portmeirion, which looks like a little Italian town that got lost.

The food last year was epic, with Meat Liquor burgers, slow cooked lamb flatbreads and amazing local artisan producers. This year they have promised even more, with top producers and Michelin starred chefs making an appearance.

Set amongst the stunning grounds of Henham Park in Suffolk, Latitude festival is a celebration of music, theatre, art and comedy.

With the Black Keys and Crystal Fighters rocking it on the main stages and some of the biggest UK comedy acts, it is gearing up to be a cracking 2014 festival. Watch the sun set in the Faraway Forest and dance the night away to Disco Shed in The Woods.

In a labyrinth of fairy lit woodlands, this stunning little festival in North Dorset is one of the ultimate boutique UK music festivals.  Rooted in old school Americana, End of the Road boasts a cracking alternative line up, including The Flaming Lips, Yo la Tengo, White Denim and folk favourite Johnny Flynn & the Sussex Wit.
