Festival Number 6 will be returning to North Wales this September to bring painstakingly well-chosen music, stunning surroundings and delicious food to all those lucky enough to attend.
The festival, which is held in Portmeirion, North Wales, will begin on the 13th of September and will last for three days. Headliners include the acclaimed Manic Street Preachers, My Bloody Valentine and Tricky, alongside a host of other fantastic performers, artists and writers.
Replacing the usual grease-mongers of festival catering, some of our favourite street-food superheroes will be serving up their usual delectable wares, along with a locally sourced produce market bringing festival-goers the best Gwynedd has to offer.
From the sandy estuary beach below, Portmeirion appears as a patchwork quilt of colour draped across the hillside. The former set of ‘The Prisoner’ forms what might well be the perfect setting for the festival, which focusses so heavily on the importance of artistic expression. Dubbed NME’s best small festival in its maiden year 2012, we have no doubt that the creativity and individuality that coursed through last year’s gathering will be fortified this year, fuelled by the culinary mastery of the street-foodies in attendance.
