The Fat Duck re-opens September 29th after a sell-out stint in Melbourne.
Nine months ago, Heston and the team flew the nest to Melbourne so that The Fat Duck, now in its twenty-first year, could have a facelift and let Heston evolve the menu.
The culinary king of molecular gastronomy has created a new menu in the form of a map and he uses a day from a childhood holiday as the framework.
Starting with waking up and having breakfast, the day then continues to rock pooling by the sea and then a picnic in the woods.
Everything from the menu to the lighting and the front of house team will be wrapped up in these memories to create the ultimate sensory experience.
Bookings open September 3rd and cost a steep £255 a head (food only). A new system allows you to purchase a ticket at the time of reservation that covers your food – booze and service are paid at the end of the meal.
This is the ultimate in restaurant indulgence and we can’t wait to see what Heston has pulled out of the bag.
