Simon Hopkinson Cooks

Simon Hopkinson, author of the famous ‘Roast Chicken and Other Things’, is back with a new cooking bible Simon Hopkinson Cooks.

In the new book, Simon has put together a selection of simple, everyday recipes for the home cook and combined them into tailor-made menus for different occasions.

Simon Hopkinson Cooks is split into 11 wonderful menus; from a classic Sunday roast to a celebratory dinner, there is something for every occasion. The recipes are beautifully simple and put together as a menu they make for one impressive meal. Each comes with a specially selected cocktail to get things started in style.

If you’ve been out partying and need something substantial the next day, Simon’s got brunch sorted. Start with a serious hair of the dog in the form of a Bullshot. A kind of bloody Mary with much more of a kick, then feast on veal kidneys with fried bread to make one hell of a hangover cure.

Simon has even included a whole spice themed menu, good lad! This includes aubergines with chilli and ginger and a fantastic tomato curry in a rich creamy sauce. Top that off with an Indian inspired tart for one rocking meal.

From the first turn of the first page, this book will have your creative juices flowing. So send out the invites and get ready for a few cracking nights in.
