Don’t miss our guide to the hottest new restaurants in London
Anyone who is anyone, and as old as me, will remember Quaglino’s, and most likely have one of their ash trays lurking in a cupboard (naughty!). The iconic restaurant is re-opening, following an extensive renovation, bringing it boldly into 2014.
Expertly restored, the sweeping staircase, balcony bar and main dining room that played host to many a legendary night will be back to its badest, with the addition of a slick cocktail bar and stage in the centre of the space.
Drink classic cocktails or grab a bottle from their extensive wine list, and get ready to clear the decks as the restaurant transforms into a banging music venue with DJ’s and bands belting out music into the early hours.
Defining modern brassiere food in the 90’s, Quaglino’s will be sticking to its winning formula and serving a contemporary European menu, using the best British produce.
Expect dishes like slow cooked Pyrenean lamb shoulder with spinach almonds and goats curd; and pan fried cod with artichoke puree and a saffron cassoulet.
