Plaxy and Giorgio Locatelli are bringing their perfect pizza pop up to Islington and opening Pizza Locadeli for three months on Upper Street.
Following their success last year, Pizza Locadeli will be launching on September 15 in the Old Post Office on Upper Street. The pop up will be serving traditional wood fired pizzas and a selection of mouthwatering Italian dishes.
Last year’s classic pizzas will sit along side a new menu that includes the Tartufo, made with Taleggio and fresh black truffles, and the Seaside, made with tomato, mozzarella, prawns, swordfish, clams and salmoriglio.
As well as the pizzas, Plaxy and Giorgio will be cooking up an Italian feast including spaghetti alle vongole and Lasagne al ragout, burrata with pumpkin, rocket and hazelnuts, and swordfish carpaccio with green apple and pomegranate.
The pop up is a brilliant way to try the sublime food that Giorgio does so well at Locanda Locatelli in Mayfair. It’s no reservations (boo!) so get there early and tuck into a negroni or two whilst you wait.
