Perfect pop up, Perilla, founded by Ben Marks (NOMA, The Square) and Matt Emmerson (Polpo), is back for a four month residency at Platform 1 in East Dulwich.
After drawing in the crowds and gaining an army of fans, including Russell Norman (who described the pair’s previous pop up as the best pop he’d ever been to), the lads are back with a fresh, seasonal menu starting 10th November.
Head chef Ben has drawn on his experience in Michelin starred kitchens under the guidance of Rene Redzepi and Phil Howard to create a menu of playful food with British and European influences.
Focusing on overlooked produce, this is stripped back, unpretentious fine dining. And thankfully reservations are taken!
Get read to feasts sumptuous snacks of Grilled Flatbread & Brown Butter, Egg Yolks Cured in Seaweed with Samphire and Crisp Wings Stuffed with Cauliflower. Starters include Grilled Lettuce & Cavalo Nero with Ewes Cheese and Aged Beef Tartar & Red Cabbage.
Choose from Whole Baked Mackerel & Marinated Cucumbers or Beef Short Rib with Thyme & Beetroot for mains. And then save room for Poached Pears with Soft Herbs & Frozen Crème Fraîche or Baked Custard with Juiced Wild Plums.
