As if that oh-so-naughty afternoon tea couldn’t get any more decadent along comes Paul A Young with one very tempting looking chocolate-inspired tea at Grosvenor House. Launching just in time for Easter, this new exclusive menu has been designed to combine the Grosvenor’s classic afternoon tea with some of the finest chocolate going, and of course a touch of magic from the master chocolatier renowned for his jaw-dropping creations.
Guests can expect a traditional afternoon tea beginning with delicate finger sandwiches, tasty little bites accompanied by an eccentric option in the form of a cucumber and Venetian chocolate pairing. The fluffy scones come with jam, clotted cream and Paul’s signature salted caramel spread.
Of course the one thing afternoon tea needs is some sumptuous cakes and pastries, and believe us when we say Paul’s selection is worth the visit alone. Chocoholics need to get their teeth into the cocoa shortcake biscuits with Madagascan chocolate ganache, perfect for some elegant dunking, and afternoon tea in a mouthful: Earl Grey tea chocolate tart.
To get stuck into some even more chocolate madness why not try the ‘Adventures in Chocolate Package’, an overnight stay at Grosvenor House with breakfast and afternoon tea for two, a signed copy of Paul’s ‘Adventure’s in Chocolate’ book and a chocolate surprise during your stay.
Paul A Youngs Chocolate Inspired Afternoon Tea launches on the 14th of April, costing £39.50 per person. Tea is available from 1pm – 6 pm in The Park Room at Grosvenor House.
