The Annual Morito Seafood Festival returns in time for a scrumptious Halloween feast.
Seafood and Halloween; not usually two words you see thrown together. However, this year, fish and tapas lovers are in for a not-so-nasty surprise as seafood goes black for Halloween at the annual Morito Seafood Festival, returning to Exmouth Market to much celebration. Running through the Halloween weekend, the established event will be celebrating the fruits of the sea and showcasing exciting new tapas dishes from the acclaimed Morito restaurant.
The festival is a chance for foodies to indulge in some wicked seafood tapas, with a brand new tasting menu that will excite and inspire, all encompassed in a Halloween theme. Paired with a selection of Morito’s famed chilled sherries, the dishes will display a seasonal move over to the dark side, with a black theme exhibited in delicacies such as squid ink, sea urchins and Morito’s signature black ink rolls.
There will be few tricks but plenty of treats. Customers can expect to sample charcoal grilled cuttlefish with red onion and parsley, deep fried squid with alioli and paprika, clams with fino, garlic and parsley, Palamos prawns on the grill, sea urchin roe with lemon and sourdough, and octopus salad, to name just a few.
You can wash down these dark delights with a specially created spooky cocktail, and if that’s not enough there’s a chance to win a sherry prize by bringing in your own carved pumpkin on the night of Halloween – the scariest wins…
Following the success of the previous seafood festivals, this year Morito will continue to deliver the freshest ingredients and incredible tastes, only darker and more exciting than ever before. Starting on 20th October until the end of the month, this is the perfect occasion to welcome the colder months.
