With slick interiors and a smoky American style Menu, we have fallen for Hubbard and Bell.
Don’t miss your guide to the best Indian restaurants in London
The latest collaboration between Soho House and The Hoxton Hotel was always going to be cool, and Hubbard and Bell restaurant at The Hoxton Holborn rocks.
Serving American classics in a bright open plan dining room with white washed walls, casual shared tables and bright yellow booths, the emphasis is on hearty food that is cooked on a robata grill or in their in-house smoker.
Dinner is rather meat heavy, in a very good way, with a sumptuous steak tartare (£9), a glorious cheese burger (£10) and a cheeky wedge salad (£7) that’s made from wedges of lettuce with thick back bacon layered over the top and a naughty butter milk dressing.
From the grill you can choose lobster with spinach and champagne sabayon (£23), octopus with chorizo and capers (£9), suckling pig (£16) or a whopping filet mignon (£24).
Sink into a sofa at the cocktail bar after dinner and try their Smokey Aged Rhubard Brooklyn made with rye, amer picon and dry martini or one of Soho House’s legendary espresso martini’s. And remember to pace yourself as they are open until 2am thurs-sat with a DJ to entertain you.
