Chicken and steak with an artistic twist as Mark Hix opens his second restaurant, Hixter.
If you thought chicken and steak were run-of-the-mill then think again! Mark Hix is opening his second chicken and beef-centric restaurant Hixter, following the success of his first endeavour Tramshed. Located at the old East India Company Warehouse, the restaurant will be a mix of fantastic food, a laid-back atmosphere and some seriously cool artwork.
The idea is simple – family-style dining with a big platter on the table inviting everybody to tuck in. Expect whole roast chicken, huge steaks to carve into at the table and a chicken curry that pays homage to the sites history.
However it’s not the awesome food that makes Hixter a must visit. Mark has teamed up with British artists who feature their stunning pieces in all Hix restaurants, such as the impressive sculpture from Gary Webb and the eye-catching Hixter signature designed by Tracey Emin.
And, as if you’re not already grabbing you coat, the newly opened Hixter restaurant will also house the second Mark’s Bar, a New York-inspired cocktail bar with an extensive menu of bespoke drinks.
