Irish TV chef Donal Skehan is back with a new book and TV show Homecooked jam-packed with fabulous recipes for any occasion.
Donal Skehan has been very busy with Junior Masterchef and his new magazine. Thankfully he has also found time to write a new cookbook Homecooked, which is also accompanied by a 12-part TV show on Good Food Channel UK.
The new book is packed full of different cuisines from SE Asian to Caribbean and Irish. We never eat the same thing everyday so it makes for a really interesting balance. They all have got one thing in common – they are delicious.
Donal covers the different cooking occasions in each chapter; everyday dinner, fast and healthy, comfort food, food to share, Sunday lunch, weekend brunch, desserts and baking.
We loved the simple lime and coconut chicken with fish sauce and lemongrass; wonderful Turkish pide; surf and turf salad with a zingy chimichurri; and a decadent salted peanut caramel mud pie.
