Opening in Hackney Wick, Mick’s Garage is a converted warehouse space that will consist of a trio of exciting culinary concepts.
Next to Crate’s Brew Shed, Mick’s Garage will consist of a Coffee Roastery, Jarr Bar which’ll serve house brewed kombucha, and Shukshuk market BBQ from the founders of Berber & Q, Josh Katz and Mattia Bianchi. The large warehouse space is set to host an array of live music events and supper clubs.
The warehouse is entered from a giant roller shutter, behind is an industrial space lined with trestle tables. The former office room has been transformed into a roaster which’ll supply the beans for the espresso bar.
Next to the Roastery will be the Jarr Bar, where you will be able to get your hands on the home brewed Kombucha. There will also be craft beers by Crate on offer, as well as Kombucha sparkling cocktails flavoured with ginger, fresh raspberry, or passion fruit.
The Shukshuk, a hole in the wall at the back of the garage will provide ventures food offering from Berber & Q. From the shack’s smoker will be maple-glazed merguez sausage, low’n’slow Lamb Merchoui, and the Shukshuk signature – smoked chicken shawarma made from the whole roast bird marinated in sumac, cumin, and cinnamon.
Accompanying the main dishes will be a selection of mezze including Middle Eastern Slaw, Saffron potato salad, Braised Lentils, and pita breads.
With a mezzanine level ready to play host to live music acts, the multi-experience Mick’s Garage is set to take Hackney Wick by storm.
Crate opens Mick’s Garage on Friday 20th November.
