Mamma Mia! Get a little taste of Venice in Soho as Cicchetti Bar opens at Piccolino.
If you just can’t get enough Italian check out this awesome city guide to Verona
You’re in Soho, the last tube is gone and you’re hungry for some good quality grub: aka a burger and fries just isn’t gonna cut it! Well fear not my friends, as Cicchetti bar has just opened up at Picollino, serving sumptuous Venitian small plates and kick ass cocktails all the way to 1am.
And it’s not just about the food at this new rocking restaurant, as live music is performed every Wednesday and DJ’s take to the decks on Thurdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Don’t expect the sticky dance floor often associated with late night London though – this super chic bar is decked out with stylish Italian touches and super sleek décor.
The bar menu is divided into several sections: Crudo, Ceviche, Insalata, Terra E Monti, Bruscetta, Griglia, Pizette E Pasta Al Forno, Pesce al Forno, Carne al Forno, Fritti and Padella… with that much on offer there’s no excuses for being a fussy eater!
There a few dishes we can’t wait to get our hands on, like the sashimi grade tuna, avocado and chilli salsa from the Crudo section, the rather alluring black pork ribs with barbecue sauce from Carne al Forne and an insanely tempting dish of scallops, broccoli, spicy sausage and chilli from the Padella section.
Wash all of this down with a few bubbling bellinis – the Giglio, a bright orange blend of Campari, agave, vodka, orange and prosecco being our flute of choice – and the night bus home probably won’t seem so bad!
Cicchetti Bar shall be holding a soft launch on November the 9th, 10th and 11th offering 50% off food.
