The coastline of Mozambique offers white powdery beaches, five-star resorts, wildlife and adventure. Temperatures rarely dip below 28 degrees and it’s around 11 hours flight time from the UK. Due to its historical links with France, cuisine has a touch of a French style to it. The ultimate sunshine Christmas destination, if you’ve ever dreamed of throwing some shrimps on the barbie on Xmas Day then you’ve got to head down under. December is the start of summer in Sydney and you’re likely to find the sun shining along most of the east coast. Beaches are plentiful and Santa suits and surf boards can be a gloriously incongruous sight.

The biggest party city on earth could be a great place to join the Christmas fiesta and with the city gearing up for the World Cup the caipirinhas are bound to be flowing. A giant floating tree of lights is sometimes seen drifting in the Copacabana and Ipanema bay area. Christmas starts on Christmas Eve with a barbeque feast and fireworks followed by a visit by Papi Noel and Christmas Day on the beach with volleyball, rollerblading and soaking up the sun.
