The Cheltenham Literature festival is returning for it’s 65th year. The festival is set to see some of the UK’s most influential authors, actors, sports personalities, comedians, and chefs giving talks about their lives and careers.
Book worms will be delighted to see some of the most influential writers of our time, such as Caitlin Moran, Ian McEwan and Margaret Atwood, hosting once in a lifetime talks, whilst film buffs can get their Hollywood fix from the likes of Dame Judi Dench and Damian Lewis.
Us greedy lot however, are most excited about the food-centric events going down at the beautiful Spiegeltent. The centre of the festival, the Spiegeltent is a sumptuously glamorous tent, smothered in velvet, soft lamplight and a full menu of foodie proceedings.
The Spiegeltent will be hosting a delicious line up such as lunch with the Bloomsbury Group, Afternoon Tea with the Archers and the Philosophers Dinner. Between those mouthfuls Tom Kerridge and Heston Blumenthal will be talking about their favourite recipes and professional highlights, whilst Lorraine Pascale will be telling her inspirational sort of becoming one of Britain’s best loved bakers.
As if that’s not enough chef-lovin’ for you, other foodie favourites such as Rachel Allen, Valentine Warner, Diana Henry and Thomasina Myers will also be making appearances to talk about their lives in the kitchen.
