Located on Brixton’s Market Row, all-day Brazilian restaurant Carioca serves up traditional dishes that will transport you straight to the sultry streets of Rio.
Take a seat inside the vibrantly colourful restaurant or soak up the buzzing atmosphere of Brixton Market at an outdoor table, before kicking things off with one of their killer caipirinhas. A boozy concoction of cachaca, lime, mint and ginger guaranteed to get you in the mood for delicious food.
Brazilian fave grilled meat is top of the menu, reflecting the owner’s – brothers Maurilio and Eusebio Gonclaves – commitment to authenticity, with fiery chicken wings, moreish beef skewers and tender BBQ ribs all on offer.
We seriously fell for the Arepas, traditional flat maize bread stuffed to the brim with prime pulled beef, onion and bell peppers, seasoned in typical Brazilian style. And will definitely being heading back to get our greedy mitts on more of the incredibly addictive pão de queijos, savoury soft bread rolls infused with tons of gooey cheese.
