What to See
Marvel at the natural phenomena of the blooming of the spring wild flowers in Namaqualand, South Africa. During August and September the Namaqualand, 5 hours outside Cape Town, bursts into a riot of colour with orange and pink flowers that cover huge areas of wild shrub land.
Come August the wonderful Scottish castle city of Edinburgh is awash with the funniest folk in the land. The Edinburgh Fringe Festival is a world renowned comedy, theatre and performance festival that showcases some of the brightest stars from all over the world. Not just in theatres, street performers line the winding cobblestoned alleys filling the city with festivity.
Most of Europe is basking in golden sunshine come August and the Amalfi the swathe of coastline that stretches south from Naples typifies the Italian summer. Looking out to sea its steep building-covered hills with their creeping bourgainvillea and multi-coloured facades scream holiday splendour.
