After a brief hiatus, the Almeida restaurant in Islington is re-opening with a fresh new menu and contemporary look.

Taking the lead, head chef Tommy Boland’s new menu will feature light, modern dishes that use seasonal produce like octopus ballontine with sea vegetables, lemon dressing, taramasalata and crispy squid; And roasted grouse with celeriac puree, smoked bacon, barley and elderberries.
Tommy will also be introducing a delicious new five course tasting menu for £45, including pan fried John Dory with caramelised cauliflower, wild rice, brown shrimps and Swiss chard.
As well as a fresh new look, the Almeida will feature a wine wall where guests will be encouraged to go and chose a bottle or let the sommelier recommend a something to compliment your meal.
Settle in at the bar for seasonal cocktails and a cheeky bar menu of tartare beef and n’duja and black olive churros.
